Spiritual Formation

developing our faith in christ

worship and the sacraments

As Presbyterian Christians, worship is central to our collective identity! Our services are constructed around the idea that God uses worship to form us as disciples. We practice a formal liturgical and sacramental approach to worship. However, we believe worship should respond to the spiritual needs of the current day. Our worship service consists of prayers, liturgical responses, celebration of God’s word, and responding to God’s grace. We typically celebrate the Eucharist bimonthly and on high feasts and festivals of the church (e.g., Holy Week). Baptisms are available after consultation with the pastor.

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Each Sunday before worship we gather in the church parlor at 9:30 AM to engage in critical discussions of faith. Our Sunday School is informal, and our focus shifts regularly to ensure that we cover a wide range of topics. We typically study books of the Bible or read a book that helps us make sense of questions about faith.
